Palo Santo means "Holy Wood" and is used in cleansing and purifying rituals in much the same way as White Sage Smudge. It is a wonderful, deeply aromatic wood which has been used by the Incas and people of the Andes for many centuries. It's purpose is to purify and cleanse, to get rid of evil spirits and influences and it's smoke is believed by many to have healing and therapeutic powers. Each stick is about 4 inches long and half an inch wide (varies as this is a natural product!). This material is from Peru.
Burning Instructions
Using your preference ignite your stick of Palo Santo. Hold at a 45 degree angle pointing the tip down toward the flame. Allow it to burn for about 30 secs and then blow out if necessary. Walk through your home, workplace, car, bathroom or anywhere you would like to clear the energy allowing the smoke to rise and permeate through the space. The rich smell and smoke will bring peace and clarity while clearing your space of negative energy. When finished, place the stick in a fire proof bowl of metal, glass or clay.
